When is CRESP?
CRESP Summer Session will begin on Monday, June 29, 2026, and end Friday, August 7, 2026.
*Friday, July 3 is an observed holiday. Scholars will not have in person programming on this day. Scholars must complete a virtual assignment to receive credit for that day.
What age range can you participant in CRESP?
District scholars must be between 9-13 years old. Youth can be 8 years old to enter the program, however you must be 9 years old by September 30, 2026.
Participants must be born between June 30, 2012 and September 30, 2017.
What if I am 8 years old and would like to participate in CRESP prior to turning 9 by September 30?
Yes, you can participate in programming at 8 years old if you are 9 years old on or before September 30, 2026.
Participants who turn 14 years old during the program are still eligible.
How do I get CRESP updates after I apply?
When applying for CRESP, you can contact the staff at [email protected] or the DOES staff name, number and email address will be listed on the [email protected] website.
CRESP updates will be forwarded to the email address provided on the application. Don’t forget to provide your correct and updated email address. Also, please be sure to frequently check your Inbox, Junk, and /or Spam email boxes to avoid missing important dates and deadlines.
How do I turn in documents?
Once you have completed the application, if you are selected to move forward with certification, you will receive an email invitation with our designated certification events to the email address listed on the application. The last in-person certification event is Saturday, March 28, 2026 from 10:00 am - 10:00 pm, at the Washington Convention Center.
How will I be matched to the summer program?
Scholars will be matched based on the program that the scholar or parent selected on the application. Please take your time when selecting your 1st, 2nd and 3rd choice. If all of your choices are unavailable, you will be placed in the next available program.
How will participants receive weekly incentives?
To encourage active engagement, scholars will be eligible to receive incentives for their participation in CRESP. Scholars will not receive incentives for absences. During the mandatory orientation, representatives from DOES and the summer host will provide clear directions on how to access the pre-paid cards, ensuring a seamless experience for all participants.
How often will I receive incentives?
DOES will provide a program incentives that will be determined based on attendance.

How does the selection process work?
First come first served. This means those who are first to apply, and complete certification and orientation will be first to be placed.
